Juventus are targeting Hellas Verona striker Giovanni Simeone to work with Dusan Vlahovic next season, claims the Gazzetta dello Sport, facing competition from Arsenal.

The Bianconeri are seeking reinforcements in attack, with Paulo Dybala released as a free agent, Alvaro Morata unlikely to remain beyond the loan from Atletico Madrid and Moise Kean disappointing too.

According to the pink paper today, Simeone is the latest option for Max Allegri’s side, a striker who can work with or in place of Vlahovic, depending on the situation.

The son of Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone, Cholito is available for just over €15m and his salary demands would not be excessive.

Arsenal are also interested, as the Gunners seem to be linked in the Italian media with any striker on the market this summer.

Simeone turns 27 next month and had his best season, scoring 17 goals and six assists in 36 Serie A appearances.

Verona took him on loan from Cagliari for €1.5m with an option to buy for a further €12m.

  1. Good striker to have as a back up, but PhD Max, master back, back, down, down Jedi Master will ruin him. From scoring goals, he will be a fine addition at right back or on the right side of defence lol.
