Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri has received a one-match touchline ban and a €10,000 fine following his red card during the 4-2 Coppa Italia final defeat to Inter.

During extra-time, Allegri was sent to the stands following a furious reaction and later claimed someone from the Inter bench had kicked him.

He will miss Juve’s home clash with Lazio on Monday but will be back for the final-day meeting with Fiorentina at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

The news caps of a bitterly disappointing evening for Juve, who were 2-1 ahead with 10 minutes remaining of the match before losing 4-2 after extra-time.

Juve conceded two penalties in their defeat to Inter – the first of which was described as ‘like playing PlayStation’ by former Serie A referee Luca Marelli.

Inter, 3-2 ahead at the time, were awarded a second penalty with eight minutes of extra-time remaining.

Juve are guaranteed to finish in the top four and could yet finish third if they win their last two matches and Napoli lose theirs.

  1. Allegry is a disgrace and who does not see it is blind , i can accept 3 season without a trophy but its hard to accept a team playing without any identity and playing ugly football. and what make it worse is that allegry knows he plays ugly boring football and he even proud of it , so as a juventus fan i should sit down and shut my mouth and praise allegry, i even get disgusted watching the games because all my team is capable of is playing defense and clearing the ball away.

  2. Allegri never mind this season but the next one, just for fun play a few games 100% attacking football and no “calma admonitions, and let’s see what happens.” Try it and if no good then back to your tactics but why not try what the fans are begging for.
