According to Fabrizio Romano, Juventus have decided to loan Dean Huijsen to Frosinone, rejecting RSC Anderlecht and Young Boys over options to buy.

The central defender is only 18 years old and joined the Juve youth academy in 2021 from Malaga.

He worked his way quickly up the ranks and made his Serie A debut this season in the 1-0 win over Milan on October 22.

A loan was suggested to get him more regular top flight playing time and Frosinone represent the ideal destination, as they are currently mid-table after promotion from Serie B and eliminated Napoli 4-0 last night to reach the Coppa Italia quarter-finals.

Curiously, Juventus will play Frosinone this weekend in Serie A, where the final details could be worked out in person, and then likely again in the Coppa Italia in 2024.

The Bianconeri believe in Huijsen’s future, which is why they only accepted the Frosinone deal for a dry loan, whereas RSC Anderlecht and Young Boys had wanted to include an option to buy.

Juve have already got several other players on loan at Frosinone, including Enzo Barrenechea and Kaio Jorge.
