Reports in Italy confirm that Juventus now have a deal agreed with Porto for the loan transfer of Portugal international Francisco Conceicao.

It is the second transfer of the day that Juventus have wrapped up, as they also have a deal in place with Fiorentina for the transfer of Argentine winger Nico Gonzalez.

According to reports from Calciomercato.com and Ilbianconero, the deal for Conceicao will be a straight loan deal, which will cost the Bianconeri €7m for the season plus up to €2m in bonuses.

The 21-year-old was left out of Vitor Bruno’s squad to face Santa Clara in the Liga Portugal on Friday evening, though his teammates were still able to record a 2-0 victory away from home.

The former Ajax man netted five league goals from 27 appearances in Portugal last term and was also part of Roberto Martinez’s Portugal national team squad that reached the qurter-final of EURO 2024. Conceicao also scored his country’s dramatic winner in the 91st minute of their first game at the tournament, a 2-1 victory over Czechia.

The move will come as good news for Thiago Motta, who expressed a desire to bring in two new wingers this summer. It does mean that Juventus are unlikely to continue showing their interest in Manchester United’s Jadon Sancho, who had also been considered by the Old Lady this summer.
