Juventus targets Mario Gotze and Julian Draxler attract Arsenal and Manchester United, so they turn to Ilkay Gundogan.

The Bianconeri made no secret of their interest in Bayern Munich’s Gotze and saw an offer for Draxler rejected by Schalke 04.

According to Tuttosport and German papers, they are facing competition for both players from the Premier League.

Both Arsenal and Manchester United are also seeking creative midfielders who can play between the lines, but have more ready cash at their disposal to reach the €30m asking prices.

With this in mind, Juventus turn their focus towards another option, specifically Gundogan.

The 24-year-old German international can also play in a deeper role, ensuring cover for injury-prone Sami Khedira.

He moved to Borussia Dortmund in 2011 and only recently extended his contract to June 2017.

Gundogan’s price-tag is around €20m, more affordable than Gotze and more reliable in terms of fitness levels than Draxler.

Manchester United have also been linked with Gundogan, but could back off if Juve leave the path free for the other two German talents.
