Bianconero directors have been reported in recent weeks as having held a series of meetings with Verona counterparts to negotiate a deal for the highly rated 21-year-old.

On from signing him outright from Porto at the start of this summer for €15m after an impressive 2013-14 on loan, the Gialloblu’s sporting director Sean Sogliano was reportedly looking for almost double that amount to sell him on.

Whilst initial meetings with Juventus were seen to have thrown up a difference in valuation, the Gazzetta dello Sport are running the line today that the gap between the amount Verona are asking for and Juve are prepared to pay is now ‘minimal’.

It is understood that the parties are now in a position to close out negotiations and that a meeting with Iturbe’s representatives is set for Wednesday.

Having been reported from an early stage as having reached a provisional agreement on personal terms with the winger, Wednesday is earmarked as the day the transfer could be wrapped up in its entirety.

Milan and Roma have previously been linked with Iturbe heading into this summer market.
