With Emanuele Giaccherini leaving for Sunderland, Juventus are hoping to reinvest that cash in a bid for Alessandro Diamanti.

The utility man is set to join the Premier League side in a deal worth €8m, and according to several media outlets in Italy this morning, Antonio Conte’s men will look to use that money in a move for the Bologna attacker.

The Rossoblu are hoping for around €10m for Diamanti, but would be willing to accept slightly less if they could get the full rights to defender Fredrik Sorensen – who is currently co-owned by the two teams.

The 30-year-old playmaker was instrumental in securing Stefano Pioli’s men a 13th place finish last term, scoring seven and assisting 11 goals in 34 matches.
