Juventus are expected to complete a deal to sign Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid for a fee of €18m within the next few days.

The Bianconeri have been linked in recent weeks with a move for the Spanish striker and talks were seen as progressing even in Antonio Conte’s exit as Coach this week.

Reports last night broke that a general agreement for his move to Italy has been agreed and today it is understood that the transfer will be closed.

Sportmediaset believe the deal will be an initial loan agreement, with Juve then holding the right to buy the 21-year-old outright at €18m.

However, most other publications included the Gazzetta dello Sport and Sky Italia suggest the deal will be a straight purchase at that amount.

Meanwhile, all are in agreement that also included in the deal will be a buy-back clause for Madrid, set at around €35m.

It is understood that on from Conte’s exit, Massimiliano Allegri helped to progress negotiations by talking with Morata on the phone to reassure him of the club’s interest in him.

Morata is expected to arrive in Turin over the course of Friday or Saturday to undergo medical examinations and close on a contract believed to be worth €2.2m a season.
