Juventus-linked Nico Gonzalez has been left off Raffaele Palladino’s squad list for Fiorentina’s opening game of the 2024-25 Serie A season against Parma on Saturday evening.

Hints Nico Gonzalez close to Juventus move

Reports over the last week claim that the Argentine forward is pushing to secure a move to Juventus in the coming days.

Juventus and Fiorentina have agreed to a €30m fee for the recent Copa America winner, but there were some delays as La Viola wanted to secure a deal with Genoa for Albert Gudmundsson to replace Nico first.

Fortunately for both Fiorentina and Juventus, Gudmundsson has now completed a medical with the Tuscan outfit, which should clear the path for Nico to join Juventus.

Another indicator that the move is imminent is the fact that he has not been called up for Fiorentina’s first game of the Serie A season, away against Parma on Saturday.

Fiorentina did include the Argentine on their 2024-25 squad list, confirming that he still has the no.10 shirt, but that may not be the case for too much longer.
