Matthijs de Ligt made his debut in last night’s 4-3 win over Napoli, but Juve want someone more experienced to lead the line after Andrea Barzagli’s retirement.
According to Tuttosport, Calciomercato24.com and Das Bild, the first target is Boateng, who had already been linked with the Bianconeri before they pounced for De Ligt over the summer.
The veteran would welcome a move to Italy, especially after his brother Kevin-Prince Boateng joined Fiorentina.
Boateng turns 31 next week and has been at Bayern Munich since 2011, previously at Manchester City and Hamburger SV.
Other alternatives are Samuel Umtiti of Barcelona and Valencia’s Ezequiel Garay.
