Juventus are in talks with Villarreal for Giuseppe Rossi, but it's reported teammate Joan Capdevila could go with him.

On Friday Rossi's agent confirmed there were negotiations in place for a transfer.

“Juventus and Villarreal are talking and that is absolutely a positive sign,” agent Federico Pastorello told Radio Mana Mana.

“We hope things can be concluded quickly, but it's probably wise to not say too much right now.”

According to the latest reports from Sky Sport Italia and Spanish sources, there have been two important developments.

The first is that Villarreal have lowered their asking price from €30m plus performance-related bonuses to €27m.

It's believed the original Juventus offer was €25m, so the two clubs will be extremely close to a deal.

Sources also suggest Villarreal are prepared to include full-back Capdevila as part of the exchange.

The veteran could even arrive on a free transfer, as he has asked his club to be released from his contract.

If Capdevila does break the contract, he'll be the fourth Juventus signing as a free transfer after Andrea Pirlo, Reto Ziegler and Michele Pazienza.
