Juve swap Romero for Cengiz?

Juventus and Roma could pull off a double exchange deal as it is reported Cristian Romero and Cengiz Under may swap clubs too.

Il Tempo revealed earlier today that negotiations were under way for midfielders Bryan Cristante and Rolando Mandragora to swap sides once Juve bought back the latter from Udinese.

Now, Tuttosport claims a new proposal has been put forward, which could see Romero and Cengiz follow suit.

Now, Tuttosport claims a new proposal has been put forward, which could see Romero and Cengiz follow suit.

Romero has spent the season on loan at Genoa, but the defender does not seem to have a long-term future with the Bianconeri and has been mentioned as a makeweight in several deals.

Cengiz, meanwhile, has struggled for form and fitness this season, scoring three goals in just nine Serie A starts, and the winger may be seeking a change of scenery.

The newspaper expects more talks to take place between Roma CEO Guido Fienga and Juve sporting director Fabio Paratici next week.

Exchanges between the two clubs are not unusual, with Leonardo Spinazzola and Luca Pellegrini having been involved in one last summer.
