Roma are meeting with the Bosnia international to discuss the future today and could possibly enter negotiations with Juventus over a deal.

If Dzeko leaves the Italian capital, the door opens for Napoli forward Arek Milik, who has been linked with both Juventus and Roma in recent months.

The latter have, according to Il Corriere dello Sport, reached an agreement with the Partenopei and will only release Dzeko if they can replace their captain with the Pole.

The report claims Juve are prepared to offer Dzeko a two-year deal worth €7.5m a season and have convinced the Bosnia international.

But the whole operation depends on Higuain’s future in Turin, as Andrea Pirlo said the Argentine’s time with the Bianconeri is up.

But the contract says otherwise. Higuain is tied to the Allianz Stadium until June 2021 and has apparently no intentions of terminating the lucrative €9m deal by mutual consent.

The newspaper reveals Juve have desperately tried to sell Higuain to the Premier League, mentioning Fulham, Newcastle, West Ham and Aston Villa as possible suitors.

Qatar has been mentioned as a possible destination for the 32-year-old too, but so far, Higuain has reportedly rejected all the offers.
