Wolfsburg are said to have turned down an offer from Juventus for defensive midfielder Luiz Gustavo.

According to Tuttosport, the Bianconeri offered to take the player on loan for an initial €2.5m fee, with an option to buy for €13m included in the deal.

The Bianconeri have been looking at the Brazilian since previous target Axel Witsel opted for a move to China.

It is claimed that the Bundesliga side rejected the offer, as they are holding out for an outright sale of €15m.
