The father of Reto Ziegler, currently on loan at Fenerbahce, doesn’t think his son has a future at Juventus.

The Swiss international joined the Old Lady in the summer on a free transfer from Sampdoria. However, new boss Antonio Conte wasn’t impressed.

“I don’t know about a possible return to Juventus, these things have nothing to do with me,” Rene Ziegler told TMW.

“He joined Juventus because [previous boss Gigi] Del Neri and [sporting director Fabio] Paratici wanted him. Then Conte arrived and made it clear that he wasn’t part of the plan.

“I don’t think that there is any space for him at Juventus. Giorgio Chiellini is a monument there, then they have Stephan Lichtsteiner and Martin Caceres too.”

Ziegler will officially return to Juventus on July 1, although his future after that is unclear at this point in time.
