The draw for the Champions League group phase was performed this afternoon in Monaco, involving three Italian clubs.

Juventus and Milan were both second seeds, while Napoli were in the fourth pot due to their lack of experience in this competition.

The Bianconeri have been paired with Ancelotti’s Real Madrid, who are perhaps the favourites to win the trophy this season, Galatasaray and Copenhagen.

Milan will face Barcelona for the third year running, Dutch giants Ajax and Scotland’s Celtic. This is the only group where all four clubs are previous winners of the trophy.

Napoli have a tough group, as they are going to fight it out with Arsenal, Olympique Marseille and Borussia Dortmund. It's a special moment for Gonzalo Higuain, who had been close to joining the Gunners this summer.
