The Bianconeri have struck a deal to take Chiesa from the Viola on loan for €10m with obligation to buy for a further €50m, spread out over four instalments.
However, they need to raise some funds and create some room first, which is proving more difficult than expected.
According to the Corriere dello Sport and Sky Sport Italia, De Sciglio said no to an offer from Celtic, especially after the Scottish side crashed out of the Champions League preliminary rounds against Ferencvaros.
They entered the Europa League instead and are in the same group as Milan.
He’s not the only one holding out, as the Corriere dello Sport maintains Douglas Costa rejected Wolverhampton Wanderers, insisting he will only leave Juve for a top club.
The asking price is close to €40m and he currently earns €6m per season in Turin, with a contract until June 2022.
Khedira is another player Juventus are desperately trying to push out of the door with an early termination, but even with a golden handshake as part of the terms, he is still refusing to leave his €6.5m per season salary behind.
Daniele Rugani arrived in France for his Rennes medical this morning, but that is a loan for €1.5m with option to buy, so by no means enough to fund the Chiesa move.
