Juventus have started talks with Angel Di Maria’s entourage ahead of a possible free transfer in the summer.

The 34-year-old Argentinian forward’s contract expires with Paris Saint-Germain at the end of this season and it will not be renewed, leaving him to find a new home over the coming months. The Bianconeri are looking to replace Paulo Dybala this summer and they’ll need a creative player who can contribute consistently up front.

As reported by Sky Sports Italia, Juventus have explored the possibility of signing Di Maria on a free transfer in the summer, opening talks with his entourage. He would be happy with a one or two-year contract as he’d like to finish his career in his native Argentina.

The 34-year-old PSG forward has made 26 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1644 minutes. In that time, he’s scored three goals and provided seven assists.

  1. Great. Another old non Italian cast off from one of the worlds biggest teams. Perfect for Italy and Serie a.

  2. Yip MG another epic fail from Serie A and Italy. Don’t know how Serie A and Italy are expected to move forward with these has been players.

  3. Conte is a moaner and the buzz he offers can be short lasting but one thing he got right about Juve they want to eat in a 100 a dish restaurant with only 10 euros in their pocket.

Spend big on the odd player and surround them with lack of quality or over the hill players.

They need too many players to finish the team

    De Ligt
    Bonucci
    Locatelli
    Chiesa
    Vlahovic

5 players worthy (perhaps most or all too good for this Juve). Maybe pellegrini and fagoli could be added to a list of starters. They

They need a minimum order of 4 new players to start… and extra for some lively subs.

  4. Andy you’re right Locatelli is a flop but PhD Max, master visionary has deployed him so deep that he is literally a defensive holding midfielder. He needs to be put further up the field but PhD will put him in detention if he dares cross the half way line. As for the other two, no way they are far worse. Believe this Di Maria story as he meets criteria. Firstly the contract is expiring. Second the Marlboro Sales Girl (Arrivabene) can give him £9M a season as they like to offer their freebies big money. Finally PhD Max is key as he loves youngsters and 34 is quiet young for the dinosaur.

  5. Inter fan here. I am sick seeing serie-A clubs taking has been from another league even when the club in question is the one that I hate the most. Wtf does Juve expect from 34 years old finished player?

  6. Y’all know whose idea this is, right? There is someone at that club with incompetence of handling young talented players, tends to hate them rather, and opted for old, finished, near expired players.

Juve under this man is a joke, a disgrace.

  7. Go for Raspadori and leave these has-beens where they are.

Only saving grace is that it’s surely another made up story.

  8. Calma! calma! This makes perfect sense for people living in the past, adding a 34 year old unwanted high earner. Maybe he could score against a 9-men Bologna or even in a coppa italia game! He probably lost most of his skills and speed so he will match up perfectly in Allegri´s ancient tactics. Football is thankfully evolving outside juve.

  9. 34 years old? Sounds like a good propspect for Allegri. In a few years he will learn how to defend!
