Juventus are reportedly ready to offer £20m to Arsenal for Robin Van Persie, plus a contract worth £190,000 per week.

The Bianconeri are known to be in the race for the Dutch international, whose contract expires at the end of the season, but face competition from Manchester City and Manchester United.

According to the Daily Mirror, Juve have resumed talks with Van Persie’s agents and pledged to top any proposal made by Manchester United.

This would include a £50m offer to Arsenal for the transfer fee, plus a five-year contract with wages thought to be worth £190,000 a week after tax.

Manchester United had been the favourites, but they are not willing to pay more than £15m for Van Persie, who turns 29 next week.

The Italian media claim that Juventus could still be content even if RVP joins Manchester City, because they’d then make a bid for their player Edin Dzeko.
