Juventus have leapt to the front of the queue for Arturo Vidal, as Napoli look elsewhere and Bayern Munich are locked out.

The 24-year-old Bayer Leverkusen midfielder is currently away on international duty with Chile in the Copa America.

He had been heavily linked with Napoli, but President Aurelio De Laurentiis has made it clear Vidal won't be coming if Gokhan Inler completes his transfer from Udinese.

Bayern Munich were also prime candidates, but found themselves ruled out of the race this morning.

“Bayern could offer us the right price, but they won't be signing Vidal,” Leverkusen director (and former Roma Coach) Rudi Voller told Kicker.

“We will only be selling him to a club outside Germany.”

Juventus have therefore leapt to the top of the list, but face strong competition from Arsenal.

Vidal is thought to be rated at around €9m.
