The controversy after last weekend’s scheduled match between Juventus and Napoli, when the Bianconeri showed up at the Allianz Stadium to play the match against a Partenopei side who had been blocked from travelling to Turin by the local health authority.

The days go by and the Corriere della Sera claims the 3-0 defeat by default doesn’t seem likely and the report reveals Napoli hypothetically could be stripped of one point for violation of the protocol, but the match should therefore be rescheduled at a later date.

The newspaper claims the FIGC lawyers don’t question the competence of the ASL in Naples but believe the team shouldn’t have been stopped from travelling when Salernitana, who also had two players positive for coronavirus in the squad, were allowed to.

The mayor of Naples Luigi de Magistris spoke to TG2 Post about the suspected call made by Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis to the ASL.

“I see the increase in infections and there are people who wait days for the swab. For Napoli, it all happened through a phone call that probably took place,” he said.
