The Rossoneri have been in good form of late and the 32-year-old believes the match against the defending Italian champions will be a good stepping stone on their journey under Clarence Seedorf.
“Recent results have been positive and have brought back some confidence,” Bonera told the Milan Channel.
“We have begun a journey that we know will be a long one and on Sunday we will face an important and difficult test.
“We want to continue on our journey of growth.
“The only bad thing about the game with Atletico Madrid was the result.
