Juventus have moved a step closer to signing Stephan Lichtsteiner of Lazio, according to reports.

The Swiss right-back has been heavily paired with the Bianconeri in recent weeks and a deal is on the verge of completion.

According to speculation, Juve have agreed to pay around €10m for the defender – although they may also include a player as part of the switch.

The Old Lady are looking for a new right-back after Marco Motta, who was signed last summer from Roma and Udinese, failed to convince in the role.

Having been linked with numerous options, it appears that the capital city player is at the top of their wish-list.

Juve have already signed Andrea Pirlo from Milan and Reto Ziegler of Sampdoria. The latter is also Swiss, as is Udinese midfielder Gokhan Inler who is wanted by the Bianconeri too.

Should Lichtsteiner move on, Lazio could attempt to replace him with Genoa full-back Abdoulay Konko.
