Aaron Ramsey is set to make his debut for Rangers against Hearts this weekend following his loan move from Juventus.

The 31-year-old Welshman joined the Scottish side on transfer deadline day, putting pen to paper on a six-month loan deal. He is hoping to find some consistent playing time following a difficult season under coach Massimiliano Allegri.

As reported by Sky Sports, Ramsey is set to make his Rangers debut on Sunday, with coach Giovanni van Bronckhorst suggesting in a press conference today that the Welshman is fit enough to feature this weekend.

Ramsey has only made five appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 112 minutes. He has struggled with injuries all campaign, being sidelined for at least 17 games.

Contracted to Juventus until 2023, Ramsey will be hoping for regular playing time in Scotland under van Bronckhorst as he looks to push Wales to this year’s World Cup in Qatar.

  1. Yes but he’s technically still a Juve player. I wish him all the very best In Scotland so he doesn’t come back. Absolute leech.

  2. Two questions, how can Rangers make the transfer permanent? And how much of this guys COLOSSAL wages are Juve still paying?
    Is it 50%?

  3. Ramsey is taking home around close to £150,000 per week before tax and more than £110,000 after which is €7m per season – plus bonuses – which at current exchange rates is about £5.6m net.

Rangers are paying 30 per cent which is around £45,000 per week
