Sassuolo held a positive meeting with Juventus for Manuel Locatelli today, while Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund have made formal offers.

According to Sportitalia, the two clubs held a meeting this afternoon to discuss the Italy international midfielder and the negotiations are progressing well.

The proposal would be €30m plus teenage Romanian defender Radu Dragusin, a player who is appreciated by the Neroverdi.

Locatelli too is believed to be in favour of a Juventus transfer, preferring this option to the already presented bids from Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund.

Sassuolo director general Giovanni Carnevali had said yesterday that they received only offers ‘from abroad’ so far, and Sportitalia pundit Alfredo Pedullà reveals those to be the Gunners and BVB.

Carnevali met with new Juventus director Federico Cherubini and it could well be a Federico Chiesa-style transfer agreement.

That would see Juve take Locatelli on loan, with obligation to buy for a fee spread out over several years.
