Juventus are juggling Zenit St Petersburg's Axel Witsel and Inter's Hernanes for a last-minute ditch to sign a midfielder.
The club's failure to pick up their coveted target Julian Draxler from Schalke 04 left director general Beppe Marotta in an embarrassing position, unable to provide Coach Max Allegri with the offensive midfielder he requested.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus will make a dash in the final day of the mercato for one between Witsel and Hernanes.

While Witsel is a more glamorous option, the Bianconeri are reportedly uncertain that he's worth the €25m price-tag, and the player is believed to be closer to Milan.
Hernanes is the alternative, as Juventus reportedly would like to pick him up for €10-12m, in a deal that would see the Brazilian join them initially on a loan.
Other options being considered in these last few days, according to la rosea, include Sampdoria's Roberto Soriano and Palermo's Franco Vazquez.
