After the number of cases spiked to over 3,000 in Italy today, including 107 deaths, the Government announced it was closing all schools and universities to March 15.

That could be extended, as the advice from the scientific commission was to shut all large public gatherings for 30 days rather than 15.

This also covers sporting events, but rather than simply carry on with the current fixture list, it is almost certain now that the Serie A calendar will be shuffled along by a week.

That means the six postponed Week 26 games will be played on March 7 and 8 instead of the Week 27 matches.

This is the preliminary fixture list that has been drawn up and reported, which could be confirmed within hours.
