Juventus will reportedly scrap it out with Manchester City to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Adama Traore this summer.

According to ESPN, Traore will look to leave Wolves if they fail to qualify for next season’s Champions League.

That has alerted Juve, writes the website, to the extent they have ‘overtaken’ Barcelona for his signature.

However, they face competition from City, who have made the purchase of a winger a pressing priority after Leroy Sane joined Bayern Munich.

However, they face competition from City, who have made the purchase of a winger a pressing priority after Leroy Sane joined Bayern Munich.

The 24-year-old has been a huge hit this season with four goals and nine assists for Wolves in all competitions.

He would breathe new life into an ageing Juve front line, with Cristiano Ronaldo, Douglas Costa, Gonzalo Higuain and Juan Cuadrado all 29 or older.

On the other hand, Traore would not come cheap as he still has three years left on his contract and Wolves have strong financial backing.

ESPN claims the Bianconeri would have to fork out around £80m (€89m) to bring him to Turin.
