The Bianconeri will travel out to Spain next midweek with a 2-1 scoreline to defend against Los Blancos, playing for a place in the European Cup Final.

Talking ahead of tomorrow’s League game with Cagliari, the Coach was asked about the Coach of other semi-finalist Barcelona, Luis Enrique, hinting that he’d prefer to meet Juve in Berlin in the final.

“Just as Luis Enrique wishes, we hope to reach the final,” Allegri has replied to reporters.

“We were 180 minutes away from it, now we are 95 minutes. It is not easy, because I believe that to get to the final would take something extraordinary.

“It seems that Real Madrid are a poor team now, but they are a team of great talent, able to move the ball at supersonic speed, so I believe that in Madrid we have to play a great game, better than we did in Turin.

“We have to have conviction and awareness. But, we will talk about this from Monday.

“Barcelona have gone two months playing extraordinary football, whilst in particular the three they have in attack seem possessed.

“Right now I believe they are difficult to play again, but it is one thing to play them in two games, and something else in only one.”

Allegri was asked if he sees his side with a psychological advantage over Carlo Ancelotti’s Madrid.

“The advantage does not exist. That was demonstrated in the Champions League matches – the game the other night placed on to the backburner the Scudetto that we had won with four games to go, which I think was an important achievement, first of all because it was the fourth one with four games to go, and winning is not easy.

“And it passed into the background. This means that the Champions League has a unique atmosphere, and when you play in a Champions League semi-final, there are not 50 of them, there are two.

“And when you are in the last four, if you are good, and a bit lucky, the final comes along, or you go out to one of the strongest teams in Europe.

“There are no advantages, Real Madrid are an extraordinary team, and we will have to play an extraordinary game, much better on a technical level than the one we did in Turin.”
