Marco Storari is thought to have agreed terms with Sassuolo, so Christian Abbiati or Stefano Sorrentino could replace him at Juventus.

The Neroverdi needed a new reliable shot-stopper after Gianluca Pegolo was ruled out for at least two months with a broken leg.

Several different options were suggested, but Sky Sport Italia claim Storari has agreed a two-year contract with Sassuolo worth €1.8m per season.

This leaves Juventus needing a new understudy for Gianluigi Buffon.

The hot favourite is Sorrentino, whose position at newly-promoted Palermo is in doubt.

Another interesting alternative would be Abbiati, who is now surplus to requirements at Milan after they signed Diego Lopez from Real Madrid.

It would be a return to Juve for 37-year-old Abbiati, who had a loan spell there in 2005-06.
