Juventus are seriously interested in signing Paul Pogba on a free transfer in the summer but competition from Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid will prove fierce.

The 29-year-old French midfielder’s contract expires with Manchester United at the end of this season and he’s not interested in signing a renewal, keen for a change of scenery. It has not been a simple six years in England for Pogba so a summer move is hotly anticipated.

As detailed by SportMediaset, Juventus are keenly involved in the race to sign Pogba in the upcoming summer transfer window but they’ll have to fight off both Real Madrid and PSG, who are currently the favourites to sign him.

The 29-year-old Frenchman had an extremely positive four years in Turin with Juventus and that could impact his decision, although the prospect of regularly competing for European silverware may tempt him over to Spain, where he has long been linked with a move.

8 thought on “Juve face stiff competition for Pogba”
  1. I think he could be useful but injuries & wages are definetly a concern. Would prefer Lazios Milenkovic Savic but he will cost more.

If we can ditch Arthur Kean and Rabiot maybe we can get them both. But juve need a striker and a CB/LB as well. Raspadori could be a new Dybala although his stats aren’t great

  2. I’m not sure if Savic will cost more. Any transfer fee paid for him will probably be offset compared to Pogba’s wages in the long run. I mean, Savic probably earns a third of Pogba’s wages or something.

  3. Juve need to stop living in the past. Bring up young talent. Train them. Not rehashing history. New management, new coach, new players.

  4. Prefer Milinkovic Savic or Ryan Gravenberch for midfield.
Pogba was history. Juve does not need reheated soup.

  5. Gravenberch is heading to Bayern and for £28M a steal. PhD Max is not interested in young players, Italian or foreign and even 34 might be too young for him. Juventus have never had a good youth academy so nothing new here. As for Pogba imagine teaming him up with Tik Tok McKennie and Rabiot. All that is missing is the glorious return of Flimsay and there you have a menacing midfield ready to be dumped out by Young Boys in the knockout round.

  6. Central or defensive midfielders: Locatelli, Zakaria + Jorginho, Pessina, De Paul, Mandragora and Danilo (Palmeiras) or De Paula (Botafogo).

Attacking midfielders: Zaniolo, Luis Alberto, Wirtz or Cherki.

Wingers: Chiesa + Heung Min Son and Moussa Diaby.

  7. Steer well clear of that waster. The last thing Serie A needs is another ageing “name” from the epl on huge wages who has hardly tired a leg in 5 years.
