Juventus have been keen to pick up Matthias Ginter in the summer for a while but now they’ll have to fend off competition from an Antonio Conte-led Tottenham.

The 28-year-old German defender has had a very strong season this campaign for Borussia Monchengladbach, playing all but three Bundesliga games as he continues to prove his quality in the centre of defence. His contract expires with the German club at the end of this season and a renewal is not on the cards.

As reported by the Daily Mail, Tottenham are incredibly keen to sign Ginter on a free transfer in the summer, looking to beat out Juventus, West Ham and Aston Villa for his signature.

The Bianconeri are looking to rejuvenate their backline a little as they prepare to phase out Giorgio Chiellini and Leonardo Bonucci in the coming years. Ginter is tactically flexible and can also play as a defensive midfielder, making him an attractive option.
