With Arturo Vidal sold to Bayern Munich, the Bianconeri don’t want to be left short in the middle of the park and Khedira’s history of injury problems does not bode well.

Juve are therefore considering other alternatives as reliable back-up before the season begins.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the main target is Inter man Guarin.

It’s not the first time he has been linked with the Bianconeri, as he was on the verge of completing an exchange with Mirko Vucinic when the Nerazzurri pulled the plug.

Colombia international Guarin is transfer-listed and Inter eager to bring in fresh funds after a spending spree.

The Corriere dello Sport’s front page insists Juventus are looking to Zenit midfielder Witsel.

The Belgian has already been heavily linked with Milan, but they baulked at the €30m asking price.

Juventus wouldn’t pay that either, but hope the player can kick up a fuss to quit St Petersburg and force the fee down.
