It has been a season to forget for Alex Sandro, whose time with Juventus seems to be drawing to an end.
The 31-year-old Brazilian full back has remained Massimiliano Allegri’s first choice left back throughout this campaign, but he has never looked particularly convincing and it’s clear that the role requires rejuvenation in the summer.
As reported by Calciomercato.com, Juventus have decided to try and sell Alex Sandro to a club in the Premier League in the upcoming summer transfer window, and they’ll meet with his entourage in the next few days to outline a strategy for this.
The Bianconeri are already working on finding a replacement and the top choice for now seems to be AZ Alkmaar’s Owen Wijndal, who is represented by super agent Mino Raiola.
Another idea is Chelsea owned full back Emerson Palmieri, who is currently on loan at Lyon. The Italian-Brazilian is interested in a Serie A return but the French side are keen to make his stay in Ligue 1 permanent with a definitive transfer.

Alex Sandro should have been sold years ago. He has declined every single year he has been with Juventus and now is a disaster waiting to happen every game. I think Emerson is a very solid left-back and he was excellent when called upon during the Azzurri triumph at Euro 2020 last summer. He would be a very good signing. I like Luca Pellegrini a lot and I think given time he can become a very good player, he is still young enough to keep faith in. This has to be the summer when we finally rid ourselves of the players who just aren’t good enough and give Max Allegri the squad he wants and needs to not just challenge for the Scudetto but take us back to the summit of Serie A once again.
