Multiple reports in Italy claim Juve director Beppe Marotta met with Manchester United chief Ed Woodward and agent Mino Raiola last night to present the proposal.

It’s widely suggested the initial €100m offer was rejected, as Juventus want at least €120m for the player they took as a free agent four years ago.

This evening L’Equipe report that more advances were made in negotiations today, so a move could be completed within days.

Sky Sport Italia turn to how Juventus will spend that world record transfer fee, which won’t only be used on getting a new midfielder.

The favourite options to replace Pogba in Turin are Valencia’s Portugal international Andre Gomes and Chelsea’s Matic.

Andre Gomes has been a Juventus target for some considerable time, but the €30m asking price proved a sticking point.

Now Real Madrid are believed to be in negotiations for Andre Gomes as well, further complicating matters.

Antonio Conte could well aim to keep Matic at Chelsea this season and is evaluating him over the summer.

Within Serie A, Inter could sell Croatia international Brozovic for €25m after his agent complained of low wages and ambitions.

Witsel of Zenit is more of an outside bet along with Newcastle United’s Moussa Sissoko.
