Juventus are rumoured to be interested in Tottenham Hotspur and Belgium defender Toby Alderweireld for €30m.

The centre-back just turned 30 this month and Spurs activated a one-year option to extend his contract to June 2020.

According to The Sun, a clause in the deal means he now has a release clause worth £25m.

Calciomercato.com and the English paper both suggest Juventus are keeping a close eye on the situation, especially now Manchester United have cooled their interest.

The Bianconeri are always eager to bring in experience, but already have Giorgio Chiellini and Leonardo Bonucci for central defence, with Daniele Rugani providing a younger option and Martin Caceres versatility.

Although Alderweireld was out for several months in 2017-18 with a hamstring injury, he has been turning out regularly for Tottenham in the current campaign and started all but one of their Premier League matches.
