The Bianconeri are back in the Scudetto race after a remarkable comeback so far this year and the winter transfer window could make or break their final objective.

According to Tuttosport, their priority is a midfielder, but Dortmund's Gundogan comes at €25m, making him substantially too expensive for a winter transfer.

Their alternative is currently believed to be Sevilla's Banega, whose contract expires in June and who is also a target for Milan.

The Old Lady has a list of alternatives should the Banega operation not go through, and these include Monaco's Joao Moutinho and Bernardo Silva, Paris Saint-Germain's Adrien Rabiot, Cesena's Stefano Sensi, and the much courted Roberto Soriano from Sampdoria.
