Luis Muriel celebrates a goal for Atalanta against Bologna

Juventus, Atalanta, Roma and Lazio won’t have their real names in EA Sports game FIFA 22 due to rights issues.

This is because the Serie A clubs already have deals with rivals Konami and PES, so are registered under vague pseudonyms for this videogame.

It’s nothing new for Juve, who had already been called Piemonte Calcio, referencing the region they are based in.

According to those who beta tested the game, AS Roma are again called Roma FC, while their city neighbours Lazio are transformed into Latium.

Even Atalanta will get the renaming treatment in FIFA 22, becoming Bergamo Calcio.
