Buffon has returned to training following back surgery and hopes to be back in the spring.

"I like this Juve," he revealed. "It's great, compact and is still growing."

Asked about Sunday's 3-1 victory over Catania, Buffon said: "It was a great response after our exit from the Europa League."

Pressed on whether Juventus can mount a serious title challenge, he replied: "For the moment we'll avoid talking about that."

Finally, Buffon gave an indication as to how well his recovery is going at Juventus' training ground in Vinovo.

"I am fine and I am working a lot. As for the rest, after many years, one learns to get to know your own body and the answers that it gives and right now they are positive.

"Marco Storari is doing very well and I am happy for him. If he were to receive a call up to the national team, no one could say anything against it, but there are also other goalkeepers like Christian Abbiati and Morgan De Sanctis who are doing very well and equally deserve a call."
