Juventus will soon be forced to choose which one of Nicolò Rovella, Nicolò Fagioli or Fabio Miretti will remain with the first team next season.

The Bianconeri are looking to rejuvenate their midfield in the summer and coach Massimiliano Allegri is seemingly prepared to give space to a youth product, exciting three young prospects in particular. Two of them, Rovella and Fagioli, have impressed on loan whilst Miretti has worked his way up the youth system.

As detailed by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus’ current plan is to take Rovella back from Genoa after his loan spell ends and integrate him into Allegri’s first team. Fagioli would instead remain out on loan with Cremonese, especially if they get promoted up to Serie A.

Things would also be a little more distant for Miretti, who would likely have to accept a loan move in order to gain some more regular playing time as he continues his development.

24 thought on “Juve and the Rovella-Fagioli-Miretti question”
  1. Why can’t you have all three? Your midfield is terrible anyway, give them the chance over people like Rabiot and Arthur

  2. Would be great to see them make up the juve midfield in 2 to three seasons time imagine that midfield with locatelli.

  3. should keep at least 2 of the 3. as mentioned, no need for someone like arthur to be above these 3 in the pecking order. there are lots of games in a season and the opportunities should be there.

  4. The three of them are the future of Juventus. Fabio Miretti is more an attacking midfielder and Fagioli and Rovella are central or defensive midfielders. Juve need to reinforce the three parts of the midfield.

  5. Rabiot is best player in juve last 6 matches,
He’s the most faster player in juve also master when it comes to dirty work tackling.

  6. They are too young and naive for Allegri’s ugly football. The only solution is to send them to Serie B teams.

  7. Juventus giving youngsters a chance with PhD 2.0 Max. That will be the day. Fagioli will get his full debut when he is 37.

  8. @Fino try reading the article first before making comments and it will tell you everything you missed. I know it is hard for you but surely you can read. Muto and Lord both make valid points. How many times has Allegri given youth a proper chance?

  9. Just like i thought and said, allergi only suit with players who are aging between 31-38 (probably he saw them like 23-26 old players)

About fagioli miretti rovella soule de winter and anybody in youth sectors, just go away immediately from juve (at least as long as allergi remain at helm in juve) if they still want to save their careers

For allergi shame on you for your poor self awareness, juve will not win UCL in your era and maybe you can’t repeat your super lucky achievement (went to final twice)

  10. Is this any surprise?

Juve have never been renowned for their youth sector and the Ajax encounter a couple years ago should have shown them that talented and upcoming younger players is the route to go. Instead they went back on the same route, took a wrong turn and ended up picking up Allegri from the side of the road.

  11. All three but Nicolò Rovella for sure . Coppa Italia games should be for the younger players and you have champions so rotate them in when playing some of the weaker teams. You need a deep bench.

  12. Allegri is making it easier for all to see what is wrong with Italian football, if you don’t promo the youths into the big league and play them in their positions how then will we find the next baggio, del piero

  13. speculations speculations…

i trust allegri to do what’s best for juve.

young players need patience and experience playing in smaller sides.

all 3 are part of our FUTURE.

  14. Keep all 3 and play them, Juve needs to go back to having an identity and that starts with having more Italians in the mix. Its not about national pride, its about a longer term formula that works better that overseas expensive signings or salaries. When Italian football was at its strongest in the 90s and 00s, Juve and Milan for example typically fielded 7-8 Italian players. We have to go back to that strategy accepting the development time it will take to do so. Locatelli & Pellegrini have both been positive additions into the squad with drive and hunger. Meanwhile Arthur and Rabiot have been very inconsistent. Rumours of Di Maria coming to Juve if true is a mockery to these young Italians who area ready to be the future of Juve.

  15. Lets be honest, Rabiot / arthur / Bernardeschi are dire. Juve seem to want to sell McKennie too. So only Locatelli and Zakaria , plus maybe one new signing ahead of these guys. Keep 2 or 3 of the,m and give them a chance.

  16. i have seen all three play. from what i see in terms of pure talent. miretti is the best of the three. he should be given the 1st team spot. i feel like fagioli will be placed in a deal for SMS

  17. They aren’t foreigners so they aren’t allowed to play. Change their country of birth to Uruguay, Brazil or France and they will be given an opportunity….

  18. Well let go off Arthur, Rabbiot and Mckennie and bring in Fagioli , Miretti and Rovella and rotate them with Locatelli and Zakaria . Much better midfield

  19. Well let go off Arthur, Rabbiot and Mckennie and bring in Fagioli , Miretti and Rovella and rotate them with Locatelli and Zakaria . Much better midfield
