Atletico Madrid follow on €800m, PSG surprisingly only €773m and Real Madrid €755m.
Champions League winners Liverpool are in ninth place with €714m spent, but then there is a drop-off to Roma in 10th on €586m.
It is remarkable considering the Giallorossi’s reputation as a selling club to see they have been the 10th biggest spenders on the transfer market in the last five years.
