“Manchester City will bid a fond and emotional farewell to legendary striker Sergio Aguero when his contract expires this summer,” the Premier League giants announced.
“Treasured by City fans and a global icon of the game, Aguero is one of the most decorated and respected footballers to wear the sky-blue shirt.
“He joined City in the summer of 2011, making an immediate impact by scoring twice and creating an assist on his thirty-minute cameo debut in a 4-0 home win over Swansea City. It was a dramatic and impressive start that gave an indication of what was to follow.”
Juventus and Inter have been linked with securing the player’s services.
According to reports in Spain, the Serie A giants, PSG and Barcelona have already begun talks to secure his services.
Aguero can already sign a pre-contract agreement with any club interested.
As per La Gazzetta dello Sport, Aguero is one of Juventus’ priority targets along with their former striker Moise Kean.
Antonio Conte is also looking for a new striker to back up Lautaro Martinez and Romelu Lukaku and Luis Muriel has also emerged as a possible reinforcement for the Nerazzurri.
