The former Roma and Sampdoria centre-back will see his contract expire in June 2022 and Milan have already opened talks to extend their captain’s stay at the San Siro.

However, Mino Raiola has reportedly asked to double the player’s wages demanding a new €6m-a-year contract.

Milan are not willing to offer as much and are considering the future of the 26-year-old who joined the Rossoneri in a €30m deal in 2015.

According to the report, Juventus and Barcelona are keeping tabs on the defender.

A return to Roma seems unlikely given that Romagnoli revealed to be a Lazio fan after he had left the Giallorossi in 2014.

Milan’s asking price for their defender is in the region of €20m, according to the report.

Meanwhile, the Rossoneri are determined to make Fikayo Tomori’s loan move from Chelsea permanent for €28m.
