The Bianconeri have become renowned for their use of the free-agent market, snapping up the likes of Paul Pogba, Andrea Pirlo, Adrien Rabiot and Aaron Ramsey over the years.
However, Cagnazzo warns Inter have already contacted intermediaries over the defender’s availability, while there is competition from Manchester United and Real Madrid for the Dane.
Tottenham have made little progress in tying the duo down to new contracts and, as it stands, they can both leave for nothing in 2020.
They can also sign pre-contractual agreements with foreign clubs as of January.
Alderweireld has already been linked with a Serie A move to Roma, but they could not agree a fee for the 30-year-old.
