“I will focus more on those who assimilated our characteristics better during pre-season and it will be close to the side that played in the Coppa Italia, albeit with a few adjustments,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

Hellas made their competitive season debut last week with a shock extra time 2-1 Coppa Italia defeat to Cremonese, so that tournament is already over.

“Daniel Bessa isn’t in the squad because of injury, but Sofyan Amrabat and Claud Adjapong will be there. I am trying to introduce the new players as soon as possible.

“For the attack, I am evaluating both Lubomir Tupta and Pazzini. I want to praise Pazzini here, because he is a lovely guy, a real professional who gives his all, is the most representative player and the most loved by the fans.

“Having said all that, the staff and I do not see him in the best shape right now because of his age and various physical issues, so we’ve set out a personalised training programme to get him into shape as soon as possible.

“If Pazzini was fully fit, then I’d be crazy not to play him. Gennaro Tutino is also another alternative in attack. We must give our all to achieve results, whether it’s with beautiful football, a battle or solidity.”

Sinisa Mihajlovic won’t be on the Bologna bench this evening, as he is undergoing chemotherapy following a leukaemia diagnosis last month.

“It is a very emotional situation for everyone. The important thing is that he emerges victorious from that battle and the rest counts for very little,” added Juric.

“Mihajlovic really transformed this Bologna side when he took over last season, getting great performances out of them. This team has a lot of strengths, but also many weaknesses and we must try to take advantage of those.”
