Verona coach Ivan Juric felt his side could’ve won the game against Bologna due to their performance in the second half. “There’s a bit of regret for having not won the game.”

Bologna took the lead through Mattia Bani before Fabio Borini scored the equaliser with under ten minutes remaining, but Juric wasn’t happy with the first half display.

“They did better than us at the beginning of the game, but in the second half we did things properly,” said Juric in his post-game press conference.

“It was a tough game, but there’s a bit of regret for not having won it.”

Juric identified Rossoblu midfielder Jerdy Schouten as a key component in the match.

“Schouten did a lot of tactical work which prevented us from playing well. I know that Bologna are strong and they haven’t got the results that their performances deserve.

“We then widened the field and were more effective.”

Borini scored on his debut for the Gialloblu, and Juric was happy with his contribution.

“He did well. He presented himself with great humility and has done what I expected from him.

“We will see during next week if he has 90 minutes in his legs.”
