There is only one point separating the teams and the Partenopei have already qualified for the Europa League after winning the Coppa Italia.
“We expect to face a team in great shape, that has found its balance and strong motivation after the Coppa Italia victory, but we will try to be the usual Verona,” said Juric in his press conference.
“Napoli have changed with the arrival of Gattuso in December. They’ve got great quality, but now also an excellent defensive organisation. They focus on getting the result and are really tough to break down.
“Having said that, I believe every game is a chance to pick up points, otherwise there’d be no point setting foot on the pitch. You’ll always have an opportunity, even against the very biggest clubs.”
Verona are testament to that, as they have gone from newly-promoted side to seventh place, having already beaten Juventus this season.
They picked up where they left off in the rescheduled Week 25 fixture at the weekend, beating Cagliari 2-1 despite seeing Fabio Borini sent off.
“Our objective remains Serie A safety, at least until we are guaranteed that,” insisted the coach. “I saw many situations against Cagliari that we could’ve improved.
“I can confirm Mattia Zaccagni will play and it’s a pity to be without Borini for a red card that was very harsh. Emmanuel Badu hadn’t played in a long time and had so many awful things happen over the last year on a personal level, so it’s important he put in such a great performance with Cagliari and I hope he can continue giving us a big helping hand.”
