Torino coach Ivan Juric admits they ‘lacked quality’ against Spezia, but the defeat was only decided by ‘a worldie.’

The Granata had been finding form lately, but rarely troubled the Spezia goalkeeper, conceding through a Jacopo Sala screamer.

“It was a very tough game and had to be decided by a worldie,” Juric told DAZN.

“It was a real battle, but we lacked quality upfront. There was tension, it was rough, and ultimately was decided by an incident.

“I cannot be satisfied. Having said that, the lads gave their all and wanted to get back into it after the goal, but were unable to find the equaliser.

“There are days like this that we have to accept. I don’t think we lack character, but we certainly need more quality and are working on that.”

Andrea Belotti started the match, but looked off the pace, while substitute Antonio Sanabria drilled a good opportunity wide.

“We need to get players back to fitness and in good shape, like Belotti.”
