Torino coach Ivan Juric confirms Andrea Belotti is ‘out for the next three to four games’ although his new signings can debut against Salernitana.

It kicks off on Sunday at 14.00 UK time (13.00 GMT).

There had been reports that the centre-forward was struggling after that ankle sprain and Juric reveals the news is worse than previously thought.

“We won’t have Belotti not just for this game, but the next three to four games, because he simply isn’t able to run,” said Juric in his press conference.

“He is really fired up and eager to give his contribution, but this injury just doesn’t make it possible for him to train.”

There is at least some good news for the Granata, as new signings Josip Brekalo and David Zima can make their debuts after deadline day deals.

Their arrival also seems to resolve the tension that had existed between the coach and his club, after Juric complained he didn’t have reinforcements suited to his football.

“Yes, I am satisfied. Zima and Brekalo are two young lads, but they already have a good mentality and experience, despite being so young. They are ready to play because their football knowledge means they should be able to settle in very quickly.

“I have an interesting squad with many young players who I think can grow, and that is my objective.”
