Ivan Juric admits the transfer speculation is ‘disturbing’ players like Perr Schuurs, but the defender will nonetheless start when Torino face Milan tomorrow.

It kicks off at San Siro on Saturday at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT) and it is already sold out.

The pressure is on the Granata following a disappointing goalless draw with newly-promoted Cagliari to open the Serie A season, while the Rossoneri picked up a 2-0 win away to Bologna.

“Milan have a lot of quality, you can see Stefano Pioli is bringing something new to the squad and they can be dangerous at any moment,” said Juric in his press conference.

Koffi Djidji and Demba Seck are still out of action, but the coach assured that Schuurs will start in defence despite being the back-up target for Inter should Bayern Munich fail to release Benjamin Pavard.

Schuurs has also been linked with a possible move to Liverpool going into the final week of the transfer window.

“All players are disturbed by this sort of thing, that is natural, although Schuurs trains well, is professional and in any case he will play. These situations disturb the coach too, I can only hope we don’t get more changes.”

Valentin Lazaro just arrived from Inter after his initial loan period last season, but Toro have largely not brought in many reinforcements.

“We have to invent new solutions, perhaps with different movements on the same tactical system, but this is a question for (director of sport Davide) Vagnati and not me. I can only follow what the club wants to do and the impulse to develop has to come from them.”
